Colourful Balloons
If we could have bought, with our childhood money
an old laughter
from the balloon seller
before he was turned into a grave-digger
by the war
we would have known
how to put the life between two grey-hair lines
And smile
بالونات ملوّنة
لو أشترينا بدنانيرِ الطفولةِ
ضحكةً عتيقةً
من بائعِ البالوناتِ المُلونة،
قبل أنْ تحولَهُ الحربُ
إلى حفّارِ قبورٍ؛
لعرفنا
كيف نضعُ العمرَ بين شيبتين
ونحن نبتسم.
