Hope is the flickering candle light which perseveres even in the harshest of winters. It is the lullaby that puts children to sleep in the midst of a roaring thunderstorm. For hope is the essence of motivation; it is the spark of change which ignites to bring upon restoration. However, one must listen to this soft voice which speaks of dreams, and heed its advice rather than remaining idly sullen.Perhaps then, will we be to witness a golden dawn brimming with prosperity.
I told them to soar Soar through ten thousand ruptured skies Reach for their cloudy shores I told them to weave Weave each sky with the fine threads Of dreams As your eyes perceive The colours of peace Recreate a quilted masterpiece I told them to heal Heal ten thousand fragmented pairs Of a dove’s wings Then reveal Each lingering hope Upon every winged heir I told them to light Light a path for each dove’s flight Release them into the skies Into illuminated heights As they carry freedom With its long-suppressed cries I told them to reach Reach for the gale that fleets; Which echoes harmonious speech For its resolve shan’t be breached As it carries a symphony of laughs Ever so sweet I told them to seek Seek a future where hearts are cured Of being bleak Soar once more through skies now secured Through ten thousand of hope they speak

Humanity may have to wait for a long time before seeing “a future where hearts are cured/ Of being bleak.” But it’s a future worth waiting for.
