Cause of Blindness

The earth laments in mournful cry,
Tombs wide open beneath the sky,
Humans' worth fades, lost in blight,
For the earth has lost its sight.
In ages past, a deadly plight,
Cholera's grip and smallpox’s might,
Though human eyes were blind and frail,
Insight through darkness did prevail.
Today, the earth bears witness keen,
To climate's curse, a sight unseen,
Insight clouded, wisdom lost,
A heavy toll at nature's cost.
Who rules the earth?
What law does guide,
In this wild jungle, none abide?
Humanity's plague, by its own hand,
Save the earth, take a stand.
Wars of perspective, sight without grace,
Those lacking insight dictate the race.

A hermit of life thus speaks:
Lean on your shadows, lest you fall,
The dead once gone, won't heed your call,
When sun's eclipsed, don’t chase your shade,
By dry riverbeds, fossils laid.
غشاوة الأرض …سبب اللا بصيرة

للأرضِ عويلٌ
فالقبور مُشرعةٌ مُشرعة
لا قيمة للإنسان
فالأرض فقدت بصيرتها
ذات زمانٍ ماضٍ
كانت الكوليرا وباءً
الجدري والرمــد أصابا بصر الإنسان
لم يعد يبصر
إلَّا أنَّ بصيرته بقيت
اليوم الأرض تشهد
لوثة مناخٍ
أصاب بصيرة الفكر
بقيالبصرُ دون بصيرةٍ
من يحكم الأرض؟!
أي قانونٍ يسري
من غابةٍ متوحِّشة ؟!
وباءُ الإنسانِ من الإنسانِ
أنقذوا الأرض فالحروب وجهة نظر
حين يحكم الأرض
من هم ذوو بصرٍ بلا بصيرة

يقول ناسك الحياة
توكَّأ على ظلالك كي لا تقع
الأموات لا يموتون ثانية
متى كسفت الشمس
لا تبحث عن تيه ظِلالكَ
جوار نهر جافٍّ
ستصطاد أسماكاً متحجِّرة
