Anguish

Amel  M Jassim

When sorrow comes

The followings are worrisome

You are going to be alone

No one will live in your town

You are the one who is blamed

For matters that are untamed

be safe and fighting

be the life delighting

Never be tainted by what others say

Be strong, never change your way

Happiness will come back again

The past will fall like rain

The joy’s seed, grow green

go on, be proud of what you’ve been

Theses lines are really smart and intelligent. Highly emotional, It touches the heart….. always be happy and never give up.

  3. Such a rhetorical poem !
I like it, in particular the following:
“the past will fall like rain”
All we experience in life is an episode of a long series.

  4. Impressive… Go ahead and believe in your words.. that everythig will change to be better..
    Love and miss you

  5. This poem is a beautiful testament by Amal to resilience in the face of hardship. The imagery of sorrow as a visitor and the town emptying out effectively portrays the feeling of isolation that can accompany suffering. The encouragement to “be safe and fighting” and to “never be tainted by what others say” offers a powerful message of self-preservation and inner strength. The final lines, with the metaphor of joy’s seed waiting to grow green, provide a hopeful image of future happiness blooming after the rain of the past. It’s a message of perseverance that can resonate with anyone struggling through difficult times.
