The oriental woman was always present in my artwork, with her magical rituals and the colors of her inherited traditions. I was keen to continue to study and research the essence of that beauty, which is stored in those gestures and muted dialogue in a time that is charged with a variety of folkloric vocabulary, which was always an integral part of my artistic formations. Although I was utilizing different techniques, I found myself restricted to the limitations of one creative content, and for a long time. Hence, it was necessary to find a new vision that would impose on my artistic style.
Being far from home made me enjoy a comfort that is free of that fixation on old Baghdadi houses and the aroma of the alleys in between, with their folkloric tales and the beauty and whispers of their women. Although the oriental woman did not depart my painting, she reappeared dressed in western shades, carrying with her a new argument and new aesthetic content. Instagram was a great source, supplying me with all the angles and colors, and conveying a variety of tales. Despite the distance between the cities, I find myself obliged to emulate her details, and at the same time keep the integrity of the glances and whispers that come with oriental beauty wherever it is.
It is a new endeavor that I have to embark on, armed with my artistic integrity that I was always keen on for a long time.

سينوغرفيا لشرقيات من الانستغرام
المرأة الشرقية كانت حاضرة دائما بطقوسها الساحرة وألوان تقاليدها الموروثة في أسلوبي الفني، الذي كنت حريصاً على الاستمرار فيه بالدراسة والبحث في مضامين الجمال المخزون في تلك الايمائات وذلك الحوار المكبوت في زمان ومكان يتماهى بالمفردات الشعبية المتنوعة، والتي كانت تشكل الجانب الأهم من المحتوى الشكلي لأسلوبي الفني. وعلى الرغم من أنني كنت أتنقل بها من تقنية فنية ألى أخرى، إلاّ أنني أجدني مقيداً نوعاً ما في حدود مضمون فكري ثابت ولفترة طويلة، وعليه كان لا بدّ من إيجاد رؤية جديدة تفرض نفسها على اسلوبي الفني.
إبتعادي عن بلدي جعلني أتنفس راحة خالية من ذلك العشق المتجذر لبيوتات بغداد القديمة وعبق ازقتها وحكاياتها الشعبية وجمال نساءها وهمساتهن، إلاّ أن المرأة الشرقية لم تغادر لوحتي الفنية، غير أنها جاءت متلبسة باأوان الغرب المعاصر حاملة معها جدل جديد ومضامين جمالية جديدة. صفحات التواصل الاجتماعي (الانستغرام) كان مصدراً رائعاً يمدني بكل الزوايا والألوان ويحكي قصصا متنوعة. رغم تباعد المدن أجدني مجبراً أن أحاكيها بكل تفاصيلها مع إبقائي على تلك النظرات والهمسات التي تلازم الجمال الشرقي أينما يكون.
تجربة جديدة لا بد أن اخوضها وفق شروطي الفنية التي كنت حريصاً عليها لفترة طويلة.
